Best Korean food on island
The service was great.
I got beef brisket and outside skirt steak dinner
option for lunch because you can get soybean paste soup and rice for free (the veggies ie potato and zucchini were cut larger than your avg KBBQ soybean paste soup veggies, but still decently good). You grill your own meat and the smell gets everywhere, but the meat was decently good quality.
I was looking around for a GOOD KBBQ restaurant
because it’s been awhile since I had one. This place did a decent job satisfying my cravings.
The ajummas change out the grill once it becomes burnt.
They provide ssamjang, lettuce, jalapeño, onion, and garlic dipped in sesame seed oil with the meat.

Sea Salt Spareribs
This was one of my favorite dishes. Pork spareribs butterflied grilled to perfection dressed with sea salt. Loved the semi-charred areas.
LA Kalbi
I see kalbi at my part-time job all the time, so I wasn’t thrilled nor impressed. It was just okay for me. However, BIL and nephew really enjoyed this.
Pork Jowl
Pieces of pork jowl were grilled at our table by nephew, and I enjoyed eating freshly grilled meats. Dipped the pork in the seasoned salt sesame oil sauce and it was heavenly.
Spicy Stir-Fried Squid w/ Noodle
I loved the stir-fried squid as it was seasoned well with a nice spice level and the squid was still tender. However, the noodles were overcooked to my liking. Not a fan of mushy noodles.
Pork Spareribs
Another favorite during the meal. These butterflied pork spareribs were first marinated with a Korean sauce and then grilled. It was flavorful and so hearty.
Sea Salt Chicken
I must admit that NHJ does an excellent job grilling meats in the kitchen as I also enjoyed this dish. It was grilled nicely and seasoned with sea salt. It was good but the spareribs were superior.
Beef Tongue
My nephew knows that I don’t like eating beef overcooked, so he paid attention to the thinly sliced beef tongue. It was served to me medium and enjoyed the tongue after dipping it into the seasoned sesame oil sauce.
Spicy Stir-Fried Intestine
This dish was also executed well with great flavor, spice level and the semi-crunchy vegetables. However, I had a couple of pieces of intestines that could have been cleaned better.
